L’Occitane En Provence is a unique brand focusing on the well being of women and men alike. Inspired by his childhood in Provence, the company was founded by Olivier Baussan in the south of France in 1976.  Since the very beginning, L’Occitane has strived to bring the beautiful fragrances, natural ingredients, and authentic traditions of Provence to the rest of the world.  The first L’Occitane shop and mail order service was opened in France in 1980 and in the mid to late 1990s shops were opened in the United States, Hong Kong and the U.K.  Currently there are some 700 L’Occitane boutiques in nearly 70 countries.

All of their products and boutiques reflect the company's core values of authenticity, simplicity, sensory pleasure and respect for people and the planet. The company offers a range of natural body care, skincare, and fragrance products for men and women, as well as for the home. A wide variety of smaller-size products are available specifically for the needs of the traveling public. The product ranges are presented in visually-appealing packaging that reflects the true ‘elegance of simplicity.’ Produced according to strict, ethical and environmentally-sensitive guidelines, their products are manufactured in the traditional way of the region, using fine natural ingredients primarily from Provence,

France and surrounding Mediterranean areas. The “Harvest” lines, provides an authentic, and natural solution to the personal body care needs of the travel-weary customer.  Gentle and refreshing, these nature-friendly creams and lotions present a quick pick-me-up for any complexion sullied by pollution, or compromised by fatigue.

The fragrances of L’Occitane’s products are varied, unusual, natural and wonderfully appealing to airport passengers, who welcome the scent of the flowers of Provence. In addition, the design of its airport concession locations uses the colors and traditions of southern France to create a warm and welcoming environment – just like shopping at a small store in France. Airport Retail News recently awarded them with the 2007 Best Concessions in the small retailer division for the categories of Best Overall Retailer and Best Specialty Retail Brand Operator. L’Occitane currently has operations in seven airports. Our L’Occitane joint venture began with its first operation at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.  Positioned for growth, the joint venture opened additional locations in Miami and Atlanta Hartsfield International airports.
